Norwegian golf pro Viktor Hovland is known for his laid-back personality and his love of metal music. Recently, the official Instagram of the European team at the Ryder Cup introduced Hovland‘s current favorite song, “Linger” by Humanity’s Last Breath, to several other golf pros at the tournament, including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and more.
The reactions of the pro golfers to the song are hilarious and varied. McIlroy, for example, looks genuinely shocked and confused, while Rahm seems to enjoy the song more. Some start headbanging along to the music, while other ask “what is wrong with Viktor?”
The video is a great example of how Hovland‘s love of metal brings him together with his fellow golfers, even if they don’t all share his taste in music. It also shows that he is not afraid to be himself, even in the high-pressure environment of the Ryder Cup.
