SIX FEET UNDER’s Next Album Features “The Most Intense Songs” They’ve Ever Done

Must read

Six Feet Under vocalist Chris Barnes is currently in the studio recording for the band’s first record since 2020. According to Barnes, the new Six Feet Under record has some of the band’s most intense songs to date.

“Probably won’t be able to sleep tonight .. I start recording vocals for the New SIX FEET UNDER Album tomorrow!!!” wrote Barnes. “Some of the most intense songs we’ve done. Super excited for this one!”

The next Six Feet Under record will also be their first with former Cannibal Corpse guitarist Jack Owen, making this the first time Owen and Barnes have played together since Cannibal Corpse‘s 1994 album The Bleeding.

In a separate tweet, Barnes addressed his recent sobriety and the state of his vocals, saying he’s been working hard on staying healthy and keeping his voice up.

“Not from not smoking weed or drinking alcohol… maybe because I hike / and some running 6miles a day for the past year.. but it’s hard to say because these new vocal parts are pretty intense so maybe it’s all helped more than I think. I’ve always worked very hard at vocals.”

Six Feet Under is currently Barnes and Owens alongside bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill), drummer Marco Pitruzzella (Waking The Cadaver, ex-The Faceless), and guitarist Ray Suhy (Gematria, ex-Cannabis Corpse).
